Educational Programme
- Theoretical education:
Theoretical education aims to cover standart practices of the aimed subject in hand with students in detail. Every subject is studied and discussed, through seminars prepared by the residents or instructor. Every resident is asked to arrive prepared, and his/her ability to achieve, evaluate and render given information, is nurtured in a discussive method.
- Hands on training:
- Polyclinic: This environment provides the resident to evaluate the following patient groups, and provide necessary clinic service, with the help of a consultant:
- Patients referred by the pediatric clinics
- Patients referred by primary health care clinics
- New patients applying with clinical problems
- Patients with congenital defects (in a multi-disciplinary manner)
- Follow-up patients
- The academe attends treatment sessions of following patient groups in ESWL unit, and processes their treatment methods:
- Referred pediatric patients with urinary stones
- Application of ESWL treatment
- Follow-up after ESWL treatment
- The academe attends treatment sessions of following patient groups in Urodynamic Studies Unit, and processes their treatment methods:
- Patients with Spina Bifida
- Patients with complicated voiding pathologies
- Biofeedback and other treatment procedures:
- The academe attends all surgical procedures in operating room, either executed by him/her or the consultant. These include all open or endoscopic surgical procedures.
- The academe studies at all times under the supervision of a lecturer. The lecturer attends surgical practices, based on how much complication rests within a case. Any student of the program also attends surgical education of the residents, and is expected to nuture their process of gaining basic skills.
The student is required to possess knowledge and experience enough to handle any pediatric urology case by him/herself.

Consisting of the Department and Medicine Faculty, education of the student is provided continously, through following steps:
